About the initiative

Mentorship Hub pairs senior high school students with younger learners who want practical academic support, study routines, and confidence with subject choices. Sessions are run online so students from smaller towns can take part without travel barriers.

Who can join

The initiative welcomes volunteer mentors in Years 12 and 13, especially students who enjoy explaining concepts clearly and can commit to regular check-ins. Younger students can join as mentees when they need help with homework, exam preparation, or planning next steps.

Current opportunities

  • Weekly online tutoring groups for maths, science, and English.
  • One-to-one mentoring for students planning NCEA subject pathways.
  • Regional coordinators to help onboard new schools.
